WARRANTY AND RETURNS POLICY

Warranty

Dipple & Son Limited (we, us or our) offers the following warranties on products purchased through our website http://www.dipples.com.

Please note that the warranties detailed below do not apply when the product in question comes with a manufacturers guarantee or warranty details of which will have been supplied with the product.

Jewellery

All jewellery is warranted by us for a period of 1 year from the original date of purchase subject to the following terms and conditions of warranty.

This warranty covers material and manufacturing defects only.

We will repair jewellery within the warranty period free of charge. If a repair is not possible, or is deemed too expensive (in our absolute and sole discretion), we will exchange the jewellery for jewellery of equal value, again, free of charge.

This warranty is void if the jewellery has been damaged by accident, negligence of persons other than us, unauthorised repair, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship.

This warranty does not cover wear-and-tear, wear parts (for example, leather straps and satin ribbons), abuse or if the jewellery is damaged, for example, during an accident.

In case of providing a replacement, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the same model of jewellery that you originally purchased. If your model is not available a product of equal value and similar appearance will be provided.

This warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

 To take advantage of our 1 year warranty, you need to return the defective jewellery to 2 – 6 Swan Lane, Norwich, NR2 1JA within the 1 year warranty period. It is essential that you include proof of purchase when sending the jewellery back to us and we reserve the right to refuse to accept the jewellery if this is not included. Please also include:

·         your e-mail address so that we can contact you in the event of queries; and

           ·         for reimbursement, your bank details (which will of course be handled confidentially).

We strongly recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery Service to return the jewellery to us if you are in the U.K.  If the jewellery is being returned from outside of the U.K. we suggest a courier service such as FedEx.  You are responsible for the cost of returning the jewellery to us and the jewellery remains your responsibility (and, for the avoidance of doubt, risk shall not pass) until it is signed for as being received by us. International customers should also note that they are responsible for all charges, levies, taxes and import/export duties in connection with the return of the jewellery.  We highly recommend you insure your parcel and adequately protect the jewellery during shipment.

Watches and clocks

All watches and clocks are warranted by us for a period of 1 year from the original date of purchase subject to the following terms and conditions of warranty.

Our warranty covers mechanical and manufacturing defects only.

During the warranty period, the watch or clock movement, hands, and dial are the only components covered under this warranty. During the warranty period, a covered component will be repaired free of charge or, if repair is not possible or deemed too expensive, the watch or clock will be replaced, again, free of charge if it proves to be defective in material or workmanship under normal use.

This warranty is void if the watch or clock has been damaged by accident, negligence of persons other than us, unauthorised repair, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship.

This warranty does not cover:

  • crystal, strap or bracelet;
  • damage resulting from improper handling, lack of care, accidents or normal wear and tear;
  • water damage (unless marked water-resistant and the water damage is not as a result of improper handling); or
  • indirect or consequential damage resulting from the defects or inaccuracy or inoperativeness of the watch.

In case of replacement, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the same model of watch or clock that you originally purchased. If your model is not available, a watch or clock of equal value or similar style will be provided.

All glassware, china and other products that are not within the categories of jewellery, watches or clocks are warranted by us for a period of 1 year from the original date of purchase subject to the following terms and conditions of warranty.

We will repair the glassware, china or other product within the warranty period free of charge. If a repair is not possible, or is deemed too expensive (in our absolute and sole discretion), we will exchange the glassware, china or other product for glassware, china or another product of equal value, again, free of charge.

This warranty is void if the glassware, china or other product has been damaged by accident, negligence of persons other than us, unauthorised repair, or other factors not due to defects in materials or workmanship.

Returns

Dipple & Son Limited (we, our or us) operate a simple returns and refunds policy for all items purchased via this website.

If you are not 100% happy with the product(s) that you have purchased from us you need to:

1.    fill out the ‘Returns Form’ that was enclosed with the product(s) you purchased; and

2.    return the completed ‘Returns Form’ to us within 14 days of the date you received the relevant products, along with:

 a.      the product(s) that you are returning (unworn and with all original packaging undamaged and intact including any labels and protective materials); and

                    b.     proof of purchase (for example, your receipt).

We reserve the right to refuse you a refund if you do not fully comply with the requirements set out above.

We strongly recommend using Royal Mail Special Delivery Service to return the product(s) to us if you are in the U.K.  If the product(s) are being returned from outside of the U.K. we suggest a courier service such as FedEx.  You are responsible for the cost of returning all products to us and the products remain your responsibility (and, for the avoidance of doubt, risk shall not pass in the products) until they are signed for as being received by us. International customers should also note that they are responsible for all charges, levies, taxes and import/export duties in connection with the return of the product(s) and that duties and sales tax are not refunded for shipments outside of the E.U.

Where multiple products have been purchased as part of an offer (for example, 3 for the price of 2) all products within that offer will need to be returned to us. 

Any products that have been returned to us but are received by us outside of the 14 day time limit stipulated above will be processed at our absolute and sole discretion and therefore we would suggest contacting us prior to returning product(s) in these circumstances.

We will not accept the return of the following products which are all excluded from this returns policy:

·         products that are unable to be sterilised or that, for reasons of hygiene, we are unable to accept the return of, for example, earrings (which shall be determined in our absolute and sole discretion);

 ·         products that have been worn or damaged; or

            ·         products that are special commissions and/or altered in any way.

We strongly advise all customers to check their purchase thoroughly before removing any tags and discarding any packaging.

Please allow 10 days for your return and refund to be processed. If you have requested a refund, it will be applied to the original card used to place your order.

This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights or any other rights contained in our Terms and Conditions of Supply.
