Founded in 1947 in Charquement, in the French Jura Mountains, Michel Herbelin set up his own company to manufacture watches of the highest quality, to the standards set by the great names of the day.

This standard has been revived to today, with the launch of the Newport J-Class, a collection of finely engineered mechanical watches.

Michel Herbelin has resisted the tempatation to change with the times, and have remained a relatively small scale watchmaker, producing 150,000 watches for distribution in 50 countries. Typically French in design, they produce an exclusive collection in tune with modern trends, with ranges including, Newport, Safari and Escapade.
